The BRIT Awards (often simply called the BRITs) are the British Phonographic Industry's annual popular music awards. The name was originally a shortened form of "British", "Britain", or "Britannia" (in the early days the awards were sponsored by Britannia Music Club), but subsequently became a backronym for British Record Industry Trusts Show.
Kylie has performed at the show several times, as well as appearing to present awards and even hosting.
1989 BRIT Awards[]
The 1989 Brit Awards took place on 13 February, 1989; it was the ninth edition of the Brit Awards and was held in London's Royal Albert Hall. The ceremony was hosted by Mick Fleetwood and Samantha Fox.
This was Kylie's first Brit Awards, where she received a nomination for "Best International Female".
1994 BRIT Awards[]
The 1994 Brit Awards took place on 14 February, 1994, as the 14th edition of the ceremony. It was hosted by RuPaul and Elton John and held in London's Alexandra Palace.
Kylie was not nominated, but did present the award for "Best International Female", which was won by Bjork.
1995 BRIT Awards[]
The 1995 Brit Awards took place on 20 February, 1995, as the 15th edition of the ceremony. It was hosted by Chris Evans and held again in Alexandra Palace.
Kylie was again nominated for "Best International Female".
2001 BRIT Awards[]
The 2001 Brit Awards was the 21st edition of the ceremony. It was held on 26 February, 2001 at London's Earls Court; it was hosted by Ant & Dec.
Kylie was nominated for "Best International Female", losing to Madonna, and presented the award for "Best International Group", which was won by U2, alongside Huey Morgan
2002 BRIT Awards[]
The 2002 Brit Awards was the 22nd edition of the BRITs; it was held in Earls Court on 20 February, 2002, and was hosted by Frank Skinner and Zoe Ball.
Kylie was nominated for "Best British Video" for "Kids", alongside Robbie Williams, and "Best Pop Act", and won the awards for "Best International Female" and "Album of the Year" for Fever
Performance[]
Kylie performed "Can't Get You Out of My Head"; this was mashed up with New Order's "Blue Monday", and saw Kylie arrive on stage on a giant CD with her name emblazoned on it. The performance was choreographed by Rafael Bonachela, featuring dancers in robotic silver outfits, and Kylie wearing Dolce and Gabbana. The performance went on to become one of Kylie's most iconic performances, and one of the most memorable performance in BRITs history.
Following the performance, many DJs around the world set out to create a bootleg of the mashup; it wasn't until the release of "Love at First Sight" that an official version was released, when "Can't Get Blue Monday Out of My Head" appeared as one of the B-sides.

2004 BRIT Awards[]
The 2004 Brit Awards was the 24th edition of the ceremony, and was held in Earls Court on 17 February, 2004, hosted by Cat Deeley.
Kylie was nominated again for "Best International Female".
2005 BRIT Awards[]
The 2005 Brit Awards was the 25th edition of the ceremony, and was held in Earls Court on 17 February, 2004, hosted by Chris Evans.
Kylie was nominated again for "Best International Female".
2008 BRIT Awards[]
The 2008 Brit Awards was hosted by the Osbournes, and was held on 20 February 2008, again in in Earls Court, as the 28th edition of the Brit Awards.
Kylie was nominated for "International Album" for X, and won the award for "International Female Solo Artist". She also presented Paul McCartney with the award for Oustanding Contribution to Music.
Performance[]
Kylie's performed "Wow", the second single from X; the song had been released as a single only days before. Despite charting for nine weeks prior to her appearance, the performance at the BRITs saw the song surge 13 places into the top 5, and became known as a sleeper hit.

2009 BRIT Awards[]
The 2009 Brit Awards was held again in Earls Court on 18 February 2009. Kylie hosted this year's show, alongside James Corden and Matthew Horne. In addition to this, she presented the Critic's Choice Award to Florence and the Machine.
2010 BRIT Awards[]
The 2010 Brit Awards was the 30th ceremony, held again in Earls Court on 16 February, 2010, and was hosted by Peter Kay.
Kylie's 2002 Brit Awards performance of "Can't Get You Out of My Head" was nominated for "Best Live Performance of 30 Years"
2011 BRIT Awards[]
The 2011 Brit Awards was the 31st ceremony and was held on 15 February, 2011. The ceremony was hosted by James Corden and was held in The O2 Arena in London for the first time.
Kylie was nominated for "International Female Solo Artist".
2012 BRIT Awards[]
The 2012 Brit Awards was the 32nd ceremony, and was held on 21 February, 2012 in The O2 Arena; the show was hosted by James Corden.
Kylie presented Adele with the award for "British Female Solo Artist".
2014 BRIT Awards[]
The 2014 Brit Awards was the 34th ceremony, held on the 19 February, 2014 in The O2 Arena, and was again hosted by James Corden.
Kylie presented Bruno Mars with "International Male Solo Artist" alongside Pharrell Williams
2016 BRIT Awards[]
The 2016 Brit Awards was the 36th ceremony. It was held in The O2 Arena on 24 February, 2016, and was hosted by Ant & Dec.
Kylie presented the award for "British Male Solo Artist" to James Bay.
2018 BRIT Awards[]
The 2018 Brit Awards was the 38th ceremony. It was held again in The O2 Arena on 21 February, 2018. It was hosted by Jack Whitehall.
Kylie presented the award for "British Female Solo Artist" to Dua Lipa, alongside Millie Bobby Brown.
2024 BRIT Awards[]
The '2024 Brit Awards was the 44th edition of the Brit Awards. It was held 2 March, 2024 in The O2 Arena, and was hosted by Maya Jama, Clara Amfo and Roman Kemp.
Kylie was nominated for "International Solo Artist", and was presented with the "Global Icon" Award by Dua Lipa.
Performance[]
In promotion of her sixteenth studio album Tension (2023), Kylie closed the show; she performed a medley of "Padam Padam", "Can't Get You Out of My Head", "Love at First Sight (2001 song)" and "All the Lovers". She began the performance raised on a platform dressed in red, appearing in front of a screen visual of a CD, a nod to her 2002 performance. With each song she removed a layer of clothing, before ending in a white gown to perform "All the Lovers"
