"Chasing Ghosts" is a song by Kylie Minogue from the Sleepwalker EP, which was released in September 2014. The song was written by Kylie, Sterling Fox, Fernando Garibay and Amanda Warner, while production was handled by Garibay. The song appears as the final track on the EP.
Background and release
"Chasing Ghosts" first made an appearance during Kylie's Kiss Me Once Tour; the song was featured in the main show as video interlude between the second and third sections of the show, preceding the Dollshouse Medley. The Sleepwalker video was shown for the first time before the opening show of the tour, however, "Chasing Ghosts" was omitted from this, presumably because it was featured in the show.
Despite not being in the film, "Chasing Ghosts" was still featured on the EP that was released onto SoundCloud on 26 September 2014, before the second show of the tour in Manchester, England, for free download.
Composition
"Chasing Ghosts" is an alternative pop song with somewhat nonsense lyrics from an unidentified male singer. The song runs for two minutes and forty eight seconds; the demo for the song runs for longer, at four minutes and two seconds. The song features a basic drum loop with an addition of a piano and a bass. Lyrically, the song deals with some kind of feeling of love.
