"I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" is a song originally by glam-rock band Wizzard; it was first released in 1973, and is widely-recognised as one of the most popular Christmas songs.
Kylie Minogue recorded a version of the song in 2016, and was released as part of the re-issue of her first holiday album.
Background and composition[]
The song was originally written and produced in 1973 by Wizzard frontman Roy Wood. For Kylie's version, Steve Anderson handled production, as he did with most of the album. The song runs for four minutes and fourteen seconds; it is written in the key of C major, at a tempo of 142 beats per minute
Release[]
Though it was not included on the original release of Kylie Christmas, Kylie performed the song during the 2015 show of her Christmas concert series, and subsequently recorded a cover of the song for inclusion on the Snow Queen Edition of the album, released in 2016; the song appears as the thirteenth song on the album.
Live performances[]
Kylie performed "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" as the final song of the show for her Christmas concert series, in both 2015 and 2016.
