Infinite Disco is the ninth live album by Kylie Minogue. The album is lifted from the Infinite Disco live stream in 2020, which was launched in support of Kylie's fifteenth studio album Disco.
Originally, the live stream was broadcast on 7 November 2020, a day after the release of Disco (2020), featuring the circa-fifty-minute special. On December 4, Kylie took to her socials to announce that the show would be re-streamed on New Year's Eve, this time with the inclusion of a fifteen-minute documentary, entitled 'Dancefloor Dreams'; this documentary gave a glimpse into the creation of the show, containing interviews with the creatives, the crew, the dancers and Kylie herself.
In April 2022, a live album and vinyl were announced.
Release[]
The Infinite Disco live stream was initially released as part of the Guest List Edition re-release of Disco in November 2021, where it was included as a live CD, a DVD and a Blu-ray. Rumours about a vinyl release first appeared online in February 2022, with Aries Moross including the vinyl covers in a post on their Instagram. Though nothing more of this was discussed at the time, they resurfaced online on 1 April 2022, detailing the announcement.
On 7 April 2022, Kylie took to her socials to announce the release, sharing the album artwork, as well as announcing the vinyl release and a digital release.
Commercial performance[]
Infinite Disco debuted and peaked at number forty on the UK Albums Chart, marking Kylie's twenty-seventh top 40 entry on the chart; it also peaked at number five on the UK Vinyl Albums Chart.
