KylieFever2002: Live in Manchester is a live concert video by Kylie Minogue recorded at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England on 4 May 2002 of her KylieFever2002 tour, which was launched in 2002 to promote her eighth studio album Fever (2001).

Background and release[]

The show in Manchester on 4 May was broadcast live on MSN for fans across the world; the majority of this footage was used as part of the DVD release of the show, with different camera angles being utilised to capture the show. The DVD was released on 18 November 2002, alongside Kylie: La La La, a book which, while detailing her career up to that point, also gave a behind the scenes insight into the tour, its creation and backstage secrets.

A limited edition version was also released that had different packaging and a bonus CD with highlights from the KylieFever2002 concert. KylieFever2002: Live in Manchester reached #16 on U.S. Billboard Top Music Video chart.

Footage[]

The DVD contained the full two-hour concert, a 30-minute behind-the-scenes documentary; which gave an insight not only into the development of the tour, but also into Fever and the singles it spawned; it showed how the sudden success of "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and, subsequently "Fever" stateside took a tolling effect on the rest of the plans for the album, and how Kylie fell ill doing promotion in the US and also preparing for the tour; as a result she was ill on opening night. The bonus features also included screen projections of the songs "Cowboy Style", "Light Years" / "I Feel Love", "I Should Be So Lucky", and "Burning Up", along with a photo gallery and a digital section that showed the seven segments in the tour and the description and inspiration for each.

The CD that was released along with the limited edition contained 14 tracks; the album omitted "The Sound of Music" intro that was used in the tour along with the "GBI" interlude, the Cybertronica act and "Burning Up". It also excluded the "Ode to Joy" interlude that preceded "Spinning Around", as well as a shortened version of "Confide in Me" which did not include the spray painting part performed by Terry Kvatsnik prior to Kylie entering the stage. It also largely omitted talks that Kylie had with the audience such as before "Fever" and "Kids".
