Kylie Wiki

Kylie Minogue Wines is a wine brand developed by Kylie Minogue, in collaboration with English beverages distributor Benchmark Drinks. Founded in 2020, Kylie Minogue Wines sells nine different varieties of wine produced in France, Italy, Australia, and Spain.

Background[]

Kylie has stated that she first appreciated wine when she travelled to France at the age of 21, with her boyfriend at the time, Michael Hutchence. She first considered launching a wine brand in 2017, when she was recording her fourteenth studio album Golden (2018) in Nashville, Tennessee. Kylie developed her range of wines with Australian businessman Paul Schaafsma, CEO of English distributor Benchmark Drinks, who has also developed wines for other celebrities such as Gary Barlow and Gordon Ramsay. The brand was launched on 28 May 2020, to coincide with Kylie's 52nd birthday.

Kylie Minogue Wines was introduced in the United States in June 2022. In celebration of the launch, Kylie held an intimate jazz performance at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City, a hotel which serves Kylie's wines in its restaurants and bars.

Varieties[]

Rosé Vin de France[]

Launched on 28 May 2020, coinciding with Kylie's 52nd birthday, the Rosé Vin de France was the first of Kylie's wines, as well as the first in the signature wine collection. Developed over the course of two years with Benchmark Drinks, the rosé is made with a blend of Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the southern French Coast.

The signature rosé is pale pink with aromas of fresh summer berries and white blossom. It has been described as having a refined, refreshing palate with a fruity, crisp finish. It pairs best with salt-baked cod, grilled fennel and fresh olives.
