Live and Other Sides is a limited extended play by Kylie Minogue, released in 1998.
Background and release[]
Live and Other Sides contains six songs, three studio tracks and three live tracks, and was originally released alongside Kylie's sixth studio album Impossible Princess (1998), but was withdrawn after a short time, supposedly because Kylie was not content with the quality of the live tracks.
Instead, a different EP, entitled Other Sides was released which contained only three tracks, one of which was previously unreleased.
Songs[]
The EP contained three studio recordings and three live recordings. The first two tracks came from the Impossible Princess era; "Tears" appeared as a bonus track on various editions of the album, and also appeared as the B-side to "Did It Again", which was released as the album's second single, while "Love Takes Over Me", also appearing as a bonus track in various capacities, was released as the B-side to the lead single "Some Kind of Bliss". "Love Is Waiting" appeared as a bonus track to Kylie's self-titled fifth studio album.
The three live tracks come from performances during the Kylie Minogue era, the first being a live version of "If You Don't Love Me", released as a bonus track to the album and as a B-side to the lead single "Confide in Me". The next two live tracks were from the main track listing: "Put Yourself in My Place", the album's second single, and album track "Automatic Love"
