More Than Just a Residency was the first concert residency hosted by Kylie Minogue, supporting her sixteenth studio album Tension (2023). The residency was announced on 27 July 2023, and ran at Voltaire at the Venetian in Las Vegas from 3 November 2023 to 4 May 2024.
Background[]
During the start of the promotional cycle for her upcoming sixteenth studio album Tension (2023), Kylie was asked by several media outlets about touring, specifically touring in North America, and a Vegas Residency. Andy Cohen posed the question during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, to which she responded "Very possibly". Rumours were fuelled when she posted a video to her socials of the interaction, overlayed with social media posts from fans about a potential residency, along with various conversations mentioning the song "Vegas High" from the forthcoming album.
More Than Just a Residency was announced via Kylie's socials on 28 July 2023, posting a thirty-second video featuring videos of performances, as well as dates for the residency, backed by "Vegas High".
In a press release, Kylie stated that the show had been in development for three years, further stating that she felt she'd found the right time "somewhere in the middle" of her career where she'd "earned the right" to perform there.

Concert synopsis[]
The show begins with an introduction, combining elements of "Magic" and "Can't Get You Out of My Head". Following this, the countdown of "Light Years" begins, leading into a shortened version of the song that begins with the bridge. After this, Kylie went on to perform shortened versions of "Supernova" and "Your Disco Needs You". After opening night, "Supernova" was reduced to a transition between "Light Years" and "Your Disco Needs You". Kylie then performed a new version of "Come into My World", which begins as a ballad before moving into a dance remix. She chats to the audience before performing "Vegas High". After this, Kylie performed shortened versions of "In Your Eyes" and "Get Outta My Way", closing the first section.
Act two begins with "Tension", Kylie emerging in a black PVC outfit. She then moves into "Slow", mashed up with Donna Summer's "Love to Love You Baby", before performing "Hold On to Now". After this she performs a cover of Elvis' "Can't Help Falling in Love", before closing the section with "Confide in Me".
The third act begins with an interlude of "Magic", featuring aerialists, before moving into a new remix of "Spinning Around", featuring a "Got to Be Real" excerpt. This is followed by a brief chat with the audience before Kylie performs an upbeat remix of "The Loco-Motion". The main body of the show ends with "All the Lovers".
The encore opens with "Padam Padam", featuring an extended intro, with Kylie stood atop a platform dressed entirely in red. After this, she performs "Can't Get You Out of My Head", before closing the show with "Love at First Sight".
Commercial performance[]
Kylie's residency was met with an overwhelming demand for tickets, with the first run of ten shows selling-out within hours. Initially, ticketing challenges surfaced during the first release of tickets; however, this surge in interest prompted the theater's representatives to accommodate fans by announcing ten additional dates. The second release of shows sold-out within 30 minutes of going on-sale.
