"One Last Kiss" is a country-pop song that was co-written by Kylie its producers Richard Stannard and Ash Howes. It appears as the sixth song on Golden, and runs for three minutes and forty-one seconds.
A demo of the song leaked in 2018, after the album was released; the original version of the song was electro-influenced and was likened to X; the track was subsequently reworked once a country angle had been introduced into the album's recording.

"One Last Kiss" was first performed during the Kylie Presents Golden promotional tour, where it was performed as the second song in the set list after "Golden". It was originally part of the set list for the Golden Tour, where it came after performances of "Golden" and "Get Outta My Way", but was removed from the running order after opening night.
