Background and composition[]
"One More Time" was co-written by Kylie and Jon Green, alongside its producers Richard Stannard and Duck Blackwell. An uptempo pop-funk-disco hybrid, sonically similar to Disco (2020), the song runs for three minutes and two seconds.
In the liner notes of Apple Music, Kylie said:
| “ | This started as another song. We parked it, but I really liked the track and I didn't want to waste it. The week we were in Surrey I had another idea―the 'Slow down/Work it on out' part―which was the opposite to what we had already written. Jon came in with 'I know your star sign/What's on your bedside' and there was a real cute attitude with it. It's light and fun. The lyrics are revisiting, if not a relationship, at least a dalliance―it may or may nor be romantic. There's nothing deep in there, but it's got a freedom to it. | ” |

Kylie gave the debut performance of "One More Time" during her 2024 set at British Summer Time in Hyde Park. It was performed as part of a medley with "Wow", "Shocked" and "I Believe in You", which Kylie described as a "pic-n-mix"
