Other Sides is the first EP by Kylie Minogue, released in 1998.
Background and release[]
Initially, to coincide with the release of Kylie's sixth studio album Impossible Princess (1997), a six track EP, entitled Live and Other Sides, was to be released. However, the EP had a limited run, and was ultimately pulled as Kylie wasn't happy with the quality of the three live tracks on the EP. Instead, the EP was reduced to three tracks, replacing one of them with another song from the Impossible Princess era, and was released alongside the album in HMV stores in 1998.
Songs[]
The first track, "Tears", appeared as a bonus tracks on various releases of Impossible Princess, and also appeared as the B-side to "Did It Again", which was released as the second single from Impossible Princess. "Love Takes Over Me" was also a bonus track in various capacities, as well as appearing as the B-side to lead single "Some Kind of Bliss". The third studio recording, initially "Love Is Waiting" from the Kylie Minogue era, was replaced by unreleased song "Take Me With You". This was an, at the time, unreleased song, that was more commercially released as a track on 2000 compilation Hits+. The song also gained some notoriety when it was included in the set list on the Intimate and Live tour.
