Kylie recorded a version of the song in the latter half of 2015, and released it as part of her first Christmas, Kylie Christmas (2015).

The song's lyrics are about a couple's romance during the winter season. Kylie's version of the song was produced by Steve Anderson, who had a hand in producing every song on the album. The song runs for one minute and fifty three seconds, and is written in the key of G major, and set at a tempo of 66 beats per minute.

Release[]

Kylie recorded "Winter Wonderland" in the latter half of 2015, along with the rest of the songs for Kylie Christmas. The song appears as the third song on the album. The following year, Kylie released a re-issue of the album, subtitled the Snow Queen Edition, where the song was again included as the third on the album.

Live performances[]

Kylie included the song during the 2015 show of her Christmas concert series, during the first section of the show; however, following the re-vamp of the show following the release of the Snow Queen Edition, the song was pulled from the set list for the 2016 shows.

Lyrics[]

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay is a new bird
He's singing a song as we go along
Walking in a winter wonderland

In the meadow we can build a snowman
And pretend that he's a Santa clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman
'Till the other kiddies knock him down

When it snows, ain't it thrilling?
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way
Walking in a winter wonderland

In the meadow we can build a snowman
And pretend that he's a Santa clown
We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman
'Till the other kiddies knock him down

Later on, we'll conspire
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid the plans that we made
Walking in a winter wonderland
Walking, while we were talking
While we were walking in a winter wonderland
