"XMAS" is a song by Kylie Minogue from the album Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped) (2025); it was released as the album's lead single, as an Amazon Music exclusive, on 5 November 2025, alongside pre-orders for various other formats.
Background and release[]
In 2015, Kylie released her first Christmas album, her thirteenth studio album overall, comprising covers of Christmas classics, as well as new songs; she had previously released A Kylie Christmas and A Christmas Gift in 2010. The album was repackaged in 2016 as the Snow Queen Edition, featuring a further seven songs. Both releases were supported by performances at the Royal Albert Hall. Among the track listing were pre-existing covers of "Santa Baby" and "Let It Snow", as well as collaborations with Dannii Minogue, Iggy Pop and MIKA.
In November 2025, Kylie teased another edition of the album with a video on her socials. On 5 November, she announced the Fully Wrapped edition, featuring a revised "best-of" track list as well as four new songs. The lead single "XMAS" was released exclusively on Amazon Music as the album's lead single, with physical formats following on 12 December.
Kylie stated in several interviews that "XMAS" had been in the works since 2015, and that she'd ben sitting on the chorus for "over a decade". The song was inspired by "YMCA", and was backed by a social media campaign with choreography for its chorus.
Promotion[]
Similar to the release of Tension, Fully Wrapped was backed by a pop-up shop; Kylie turned on the Christmas lights at Battersea Power Station on 13 November, and on weekend of the album release, a pop-up shop was opened. The shop contained exclusive formats of Fully Wrapped, as well as test pressings of the album, as well as Christmas themed merchandise such as wrapping paper and baubles, as well as her Lovers fragrances.
On 5 December, Kylie was a guest on The One Show.
On 7 December, Kylie headlined Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball at London's O2 Arena.
